World Design Congress 2025

World Design Congress brings together design innovators, business leaders and academic thinkers from around the globe to connect, share learning and inspire action around the year’s theme: Design for Planet.

Anthem was proud to support the UK Design Council with their ambitious vision for the Congress. We shaped the commercial strategy and elevated brand outreach to ensure the event reached a globally relevant audience.

The Congress programme is a dynamic mix of initiatives, including:

  • A High-Profile National Campaign: Designed to mobilize action across diverse sectors, the campaign served as a rallying cry for integrating sustainable design principles into everyday practices.
  • A Two-Day Flagship Event at the Iconic Barbican Centre: Hosted in London, the event provides an immersive platform for thought leaders, industry experts, and creative innovators to converge, share insights, and spark new ideas.
  • An Ambitious Legacy Programme: With a target of upskilling 1 million designers in green skills by 2030, this initiative aims to equip the design community with the tools and knowledge necessary to drive sustainable change well into the future.

What we did

  • Defined the overarching commercial strategy ensuring this aligned with the client’s vision for the event.

  • Provided strategic guidance on the go-to-market approach, developing key marketing assets essential for successful launch and sustained campaign execution.

  • Created a holistic sponsorship framework that established a clear actionable path to achieving project targets.

  • Developed a comprehensive, but targeted sales strategy that secured partnerships with world-leading brands such as global management consultants Kearney, Zaha Hadid Architects, outdoor specialists Decathlon and sleep innovators Simba.

  • Led the Business Development function managing the sales outreach, pitches process, sales dashboard and contract negotiations.
